This is the picture of Ugang Sayu village, taken in Sunday when they had their market day. In the ordinary days, this place is only a empty field where childrens play their games such as football, volley ball and others.
People are shopping they daily stuff..there's no mall or shopping center in Ugang Sayu, only a traditional market place that held every Sunday to provide their needs..
The market are held at 5.00 am in the morning and ended at 10.00 am.
It is a common tradition that if a Dayak Maanyan family are having an event, the neighbour is gathering to help. Its a good example of social life.
Ngarawah, a social tradition that keep alive until now in Ugang Sayu.
Volley Ball, they currently favourite sport.
Meet Ian and Ipu, Dayak Maanyan next generation. These children live in Ugang Sayu. And I was so lucky that i've met them..
Why?? Because they had show me a little of Dayak Maanyan's life..
